Posted on October 31, 2019

Hackney council and NHS leaders working on maternity services enjoyed a Stamford Hill community tour on Tuesday 29th October, visiting organisations that work with families and offer maternity related services.

The group visited Beis Brucha Mother and Baby Home and Lubavitch Children’s Centre.  Illaria  Torre, the maternity commissioner for City and Hackney NHS CCG, Jenny Zienau and Ellie Duncan, both from Integrated Commissioning of Children, Young People, Families and Maternity services, and Remy Wesolowski, from Learning Disabilities at City and Hackney NHS CCG,  then met representatives of Hansy Josovic Maternity Trust and Ezer Leyoldos at Interlink’s offices.

Jenny Zienau thanked Interlink staff for, ‘a really enjoyable and informative introduction to the impressive work you all do and your commitment to partnership working for the children and families in the community.’  She said, ‘I am very much looking forward to working with you all in my role as transformation programme manager on the workstream.’

Illaria Torre said, ‘I found the walkabout very helpful and now I feel that I can understand better the needs of the population in this area. This experience was inspiring and eye opening. Thank you so much for the warm welcome.’
