New Safeguarding Training Series
Interlink is running a series of Basic and Advanced Safeguarding Trainings this September. To book your place or for more information, click here.
Attending safeguarding training is one of the ways to improve the environment of children and young people in your care. In addition to meeting mandatory and regulatory requirements, raising awareness of risks, behaviour changes and pathways to dealing with concerns will sensitise you to note and act upon issues which impact the safety and security of children.
The City & Hackney Safeguarding Children Partnership recommends:
- Non-senior staff repeat the Basic Awareness course every two years to keep abreast of any changes and reinforce correct practice
- Senior staff repeat the Designated Safeguarding Leads course every two years to keep abreast of any changes and reinforce correct practice (this will cover the basic elements also)
- Completing safeguarding courses relevant to one’s role as and when, keeping in mind any changes to legislation that occur that might prompt attending an updated version of the course.
